भारत में कोरोना वैक्सीन की किल्लत के बीच 11 अप्रैल तक देश में इस्तेमाल हुए कुल वैक्सीन में से 23 फीसदी वेस्ट (खराब) हुई है. यह जानकारी एक RTI से सामने आई है. RTI के ज़रिये पता लगा है कि राज्यों द्वारा 11 अप्रैल तक इस्तेमाल की गई कुल 10.34 करोड़ डोज़ में से कुल 44.78 लाख से ज़्यादा डोज़ खराब हुई हैं.
सबसे ज्यादा डोज राजस्थान में 6,10,551 खराब हुई हैं, उसके बाद तमिलनाडु में 5,04,724, उत्तर प्रदेश में 4,99,115 और महाराष्ट्र में 3,56725 डोज खराब हुई हैं.

वहीं, अगर प्रतिशत के हिसाब से देखा जाए तो तमिलनाडु को दी गई डोज में से 12.10 फीसद, हरियाणा में 9.74 फीसदी, पंजाब में 8.12 फीसदी, मणिपुर में 7.80 फीसदी और तेलंगाना में 7.55 फीसदी डोज खराब हुई हैं. केरल, पश्चिम बंगाल, हिमाचल प्रदेश, मिजोरम, गोवा, दमन एवं दीव, अंडमान निकोबार और लक्षद्वीप में एक भी डोज खराब नहीं हुई है.
न्यूज एजेंसी पीटीआई की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, कोविड-19 टीकाकरण को 18 साल की उम्र से ऊपर के सभी नागरिकों के लिए खोलने के फैसले के बाद आपूर्ति तेज करने के लिए सरकार ने सीरम इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ इंडिया (एसआईआई) और भारत बायोटेक को भविष्य में वैक्सीन की आपूर्ति के लिए 4,500 करोड़ रुपये देने को मंजूरी दी है.
सूत्रों ने बताया कि सरकार को जुलाई तक एसआईआई 20 करोड़ खुराक की आपूर्ति करेगा, जबकि भारत बायोटेक को नौ करोड़ खुराक देनी हैं. इसके लिए 150 रुपये प्रति खुराक कीमत तय की गई है.
सूत्रों ने कहा कि वित्त मंत्रालय ने वैक्सीन विनिर्माताओं को उत्पादन में मदद करने के लिए बैंक गारंटी के बिना अग्रिम भुगतान की अनुमति देने के लिए नियमों में ढील दी है.
