कांग्रेस को बड़ा झटका, मोतीलाल वोरा और AJL की संपत्ति कुर्क करने का नोटिस

नई दिल्ली: कांग्रेस पार्टी के कई नेताओं पर भ्रष्टाचार के आरोपों की जांच कई दिनों से चल रही है. अब जांच का सामना कांग्रेस के वरिष्ठ नेता मोतीलाल वोरा को भी करना पड़ रहा है. प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ईडी) ने शनिवार को कहा कि एसोसिएटेड जर्नल्स लिमिटेड (एजेएल) और कांग्रेस पार्टी के नेता मोतीलाल वोरा की 16.38 करोड़ रुपये की संपत्ति कुर्क करने का आदेश जारी किया है.

मोतीलाल वोरा हैं एजेएल के प्रबंध निदेशक

आपको बता दें कि मोतीलाल वोरा एजेएल के प्रबंध निदेशक हैं. एजेएल वरिष्ठ कांग्रेसी नेताओं द्वारा नियंत्रित की जाती है. जब राहुल गांधी ने कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष पद से इस्तीफा दिया था तब मोतीलाल वोरा को ही अंतरिम अध्यक्ष बनाया गया था. इसमें गांधी परिवार के सदस्य भी शामिल हैं. नेशनल हेराल्ड अखबार इस समूह को संचालित करता है. 1938 में जवाहरलाल नेहरू ने नेशनल हेराल्ड अखबार की स्थापना की थी. तब से इसे कांग्रेस का मुखपत्र माना जाता है.

    जानिए एजेएल का इतिहास

    आपको बता दें कि स्वाधीनता के बाद 1956 में एजेएल को अव्यवसायिक कंपनी के रूप में स्थापित किया गया था. साल 2008 में इसके सभी प्रकाशनों को निलंबित कर दिया गया और कंपनी पर 90 करोड़ रुपये का कर्ज हो गया. इसके बाद कांग्रेस नेतृत्व ने ‘यंग इंडियन प्राइवेट लिमिटेड’ नाम की एक नई अव्यवसायिक कंपनी बनाई. इसमें सोनिया और राहुल गांधी सहित मोती लाल वोरा, सुमन दुबे, ऑस्कर फर्नांडिस और सैम पित्रोदा को निदेशक बनाया गया था.

    आपको बता दें कि मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग एक्ट के तहत प्रोविजनल अटैचमेंट आदेश एजेएल और मोती लाल वोरा के नाम जारी किया गया है. प्रवर्तन निदेशालय ने कहा कि कुर्क की गई संपत्ति में मुंबई में 9 मंजिला इमारत है, इसमें दो बेसमेंट भी हैं और 15 हजार स्क्वायर मीटर में बना हुआ है.

    इसकी कुल कीमत 120 करोड़ रुपए है. इसमें से 16.38 करोड़ रुपए की संपत्ति जब्त की गई है. गौरतलब है कि वर्ष 2008 में एजेएल के सभी प्रकाशनों को निलंबित कर दिया गया था और कंपनी पर 90 करोड़ रुपए का कर्ज भी चढ़ गया था.
