रेपकांड मामले में फंसे आईएएस जनक पाठक को मुख्यमंत्री के निर्देश के बाद निलंबित कर दिया गया है. मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल ने जांजगीर-चांपा जिले में पूर्व कलेक्टर जनक पाठक के खिलाफ एक महिला द्वारा की गई शिकायत के मामले को काफी गंभीरता से लिया है. उन्होंने मुख्य सचिव आरपी मण्डल को तत्काल संबंधित अधिकारी को निलंबित करने और पूरे प्रकरण की जांच उच्च स्तरीय दल के कराने के निर्देश दिए है.बता दें कि बुधवार को रेप पीड़िता के बयान के आधार पर पुलिस ने आरोपी पूर्व कलेक्टर जेपी पाठक के खिलाफ धारा 376, 506, 509ख के तहत अपराध दर्ज कर जांच शुरु कर दी है. पीड़िता के मुताबिक वे एनजीओ के काम के सिलसिले में जांजगीर-चांपा में कलेक्टर के पद पर पदस्थ जनक प्रसाद पाठक से मिली थी. कलेक्टर ने उन्हें उनका काम करने का आश्वासन दिया था और उनका मोबाइल नंबर ले लिया. उसके नंबर पर कलेक्टर अश्लील मैसेज, वीडियो और फोटो इत्यादि भेजता था.पीड़िता का आरोप है कि कलेक्टर लगातार उसे बुलाते थे. एक दिन वो उसे धमकी दिये कि अगर वो नहीं आएगी तो उसके पति को नौकरी से बर्खास्त कर देंगे. घटना दिनांक वो कलेक्ट्रेट गई थी इस दौरान कलेक्टर उससे धक्का देते हुए अंदर कक्ष में ले जाकर बलात्कार किए.
